Over the years my doctors have told me the cancer has returned multiple times. Each time brought with it a lot of uncertainty and fear.
“Recurrence” Cancer that has recurred (come back), usually after a period of time during which the cancer could not be detected. “Relapse” the return of a disease or the signs and symptoms of a disease after a period of improvement.
I have done my best to share my personal story with you in both my book and on this website. However, my goal is to help educate people about this disease and the impact it has on people when it invades their lives.
With that in mind, once again, I think you would benefit from visiting the National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of Health website to gain a clear understanding about “When Cancer Returns.” I can tell you that reading that information is like me reading my own story as a long-term cancer survivor.
In my opinion, this information is a must read for every cancer patient, their family members, their close friends, their colleagues, and their caregivers.
