2004 – Relapse #2

2004—Second recurrence diagnosed

Again, I was told that the recurrent indolent non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma was the “B” cell type with both the follicular and mixed cell lymphomas.

Rituximab alone, after approximately two months of treatments, achieved remission. After those treatments were completed I was once again blessed to hear that the cancer was in remission. And, to make things even better, unlike the harsh chemotherapy treatment regimens that had been used in the past, by using Rituxan alone I was able to continue my daily routine.

Rituximab Salvage Therapy

Rituximab is a monoclonal antibody that is often given along with chemotherapy; however, in this case it did the job by itself. I wasn’t given any chemotherapy at all.
