Navigating Life’s Toughest Challenges
In 2007, I started off the year in treatment for refractory non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (I didn’t respond to chemotherapy treatment after relapse). The year was filled with doctor’s appointments, tests, and waiting on the results that would dictate what was coming next.
Changing the Approach
During January, February, and March, 2007, there was a lot of activity to fight my third recurrence of cancer. Our first goal was to complete the Rituxan treatments that I had started in 2006, in an attempt to get the cancer into complete remission. After that failed I was referred to a new doctor for a consultation, and ultimately for him to take over my case.
